Consultation

Your aesthetician will discuss with you what you may experience and the recommended aftercare products for you. You aesthetician will also inform you that during treatment mild/moderate temporary discomfort may be felt (your skin may become very hot, red and peel significantly but don't be alarmed by this), and that your recovery time and depth of peeling will depend on your skin condition and the chosen peel.

Post-Treatment Care

  • SPF 30+ sunblock is a must.

  • Apply a gentle antioxidant cleanser to clean hands for application to the treated area, and use the clinic recommended aftercare products daily to support skin recovery and long term skin health.

Avoid the following:

  • Direct sun for 5-10 days (an SPF 30+ sunblock is mandatory and must be reapplied every 2 hours).

  • Waxing/hair removal for 14 days.

  • Further peels, any IPL or laser treatments and cosmeceutical facial treatments for 14 days (that are not prescribed by the clinic)

Do not do the following:

  • Pick, scratch or peel the skin.

  • Use any exfoliating products, AHA's, vitamin A products, Retin A scrubs, or enzymes for 5 days post treatment.

  • Use harsh or scratching washcloths for 3 days after the treatment.
