Technology
NeoGen™ Evo

The NeoGen™ Evo Nitrogen Plasma system (from ENERGIST® Aesthetic Solutions), converts nitrogen gas into plasma energy, the fourth state of matter. The plasma emerges from the hand piece in controlled pulses and rapid heating of tissue occurs as it gives up its unique thermal energy to tissue.

Ultra-high radio frequency is used to ionize medical grade nitrogen gas from a pressurised cylinder, creating nitrogen plasma in the nozzle, which delivers a controlled pulse of plasma thermal energy. The pressurised pulse of nitrogen plasma purges oxygen from the treatment area, preventing charring of the skin. The level of energy delivered to the skin determines the depth of penetration, and associated levels of tightening, resurfacing and regeneration effects.

The unique energy delivered by NeoGen™ Evo is non-fractionated and not dependant on a chromophore for its uptake. This provides uniform energy absorption, ensuring consistent treatment of the skin.

The treated photodamaged layers undergo a controlled thermal modification, whilst remaining intact. This creates a natural dressing to provide protection and speed up healing. At high energies the epidermis sheds, but only after a new, healthier skin architecture is formed beneath.

Treats the whole architecture
Treating the entire skin structure ensures optimal results as the entire surface is regenerated with associated neocollagenesis and neoelastogenesis. No islands of untreated skin remain. Clinical studies show significant tightening – an average of 22% improvement in upper eyelid tightening (JOCD 7, 169-179, 2008).

NeoGen unique energy dependant effect

Between the Zone of Thermal Damage (ZTD) and the Zone of Thermal Modification (ZTM), a line of cleavage becomes evident, where the new epidermis forms. NeoGen™ Evo uniquely enables control of the depth of this line of cleavage by adjustment of the level of energy delivered to the skin.

Clinically proven technology
Over 50,000 Nitrogen Plasma treatments have now been performed worldwide, 30 IRB clinically controlled studies carried out and 7 indications have been cleared by the FDA.

Energy setting outcomes

High energy Clinical corrective treatments, achieving fully ablative CO2 results with significantly less downtime, treatment risks and post treatment complications. High energy does result in some minor downtime but is more cost effective than low energy as only one treatment is required, not multiple low energy treatments.

Low energy Life-long preventive and maintenance treatments, achieving substantial improvement with minimal downtime, inconvenience or discomfort.

Very low energy Bacterial control e.g. Acne vulgaris and increased skin permeability of actives.
