Consultation

It is compulsory for treatment clients to have an extensive consultation first:

  • Recording all medical history and conditions.

  • Assess if the treatment is appropriate for you.

  • Explain the process and what to expect.

  • Detail pre and post treatment care instructions.

Because certain health conditions, medications, supplements and lifestyle factors may affect treatment, you will be required to complete an EvoLux Consent Form for qualified assessment prior to any treatment.

Pre-Treatment Care

In the lead up to your treatment ensure no sun exposure 4 weeks prior to your treatment (use SPF 30+ daily).

Your aesthetician will take all steps to ensure total comfort for your treatment. If at any point you feel discomfort, please inform them immediately.

Post-Treatment Care

Exposure

  • SPF 30+ sunblock is a must.

  • Avoid direct sun exposure to the treated area for 1 week following the treatment.

  • Avoid exposing your treated skin to extremes of heat and cold.

Cleaning

  • Avoid hot baths or showers. Only wash the treated area with mild soap and clean water.

Topical

  • Because the skin is very sensitive after the treatment, you must use an SPF 30+ sunblock for at least one week after the treatment. We suggest you continue using SPF ongoing to properly protect your skin from the harmful rays of the sun.

  • Avoid irritating the treated area by avoiding chemical skin products for 1-2 days post treatment. Some products contain harsh chemicals which should be avoided ongoing to prevent unwanted complications.

  • Only use a mild cleanser and a mild moisturiser after the treatment for a few days before resuming your normal skin routine. If desired, you may use makeup on the treated area, as long as the skin is not broken, blistered, or irritated.

Activities

  • Avoid aerobic exercise or massage for 48 hours following treatment.

  • Avoid heated yoga, saunas, pools, spas and getting over heated for 48 hours following treatment.

Medicines

There are some medicines that you should be avoided if possible after your treatment session:

  • Common medicines to avoid include aspirin or aspirin-containing products and ibuprofen. Avoid these for at least 2 weeks after treatment.

  • Prednisone and other steroids should be avoided completely for a month, since they affect results.

  • Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS). Avoid for a month after treatment, because NSAIDs affect the results of Radio Frequency Skin Tightening.

If you take these medications for chronic conditions, then Radio Frequency Collagen Induction is unlikely to be suitable for you - please discuss with your doctor first.
